after reading that thread I have to wonder if anyone there has ever ridden anything but well groomed gravel roads. :screwy:

I got the DVD today and prerode the trip virtually :lol2:

This will be a very easy ride. Many of us have been on the roads, particularly in PA, MD, & VA. Knobbies will make riding in the gravel easier particularly if it rains. But you definitely do not need a hard core adventure bike or dirt bike. My FZ-09 will be perfect (it does have TKC80s).

Oil, on the other hand ... :killingme:

Are they talking about it like its a hardcore technical route?

I went over and skimmed that whole thread on ADV.

I watched the two little vids posted of the "hard" section in Bald Eagle State Forest. Is that the hardest, most technical part of the route? I can't believe they even bothered having a go round.

Not that I'm complaining about the route. I don't have expectations for anything other than a "fun, easy, dirt road route". But I totally understand your teasing about some people on ADV.
