Dakar 2015

Post by John L »

Don't know if any of you folks follow the Dakar but I've always found it interesting beyond most anything else in racing.

Robby Gordon is still my guy in this one... http://www.planetrobby.com/ I saw this "Gordini" truck up close in Charlotte a few months ago. I can testify, It's an engineering masterpiece. Hope it holds together for the duration.

There is some pretty good coverage online but they always fall short on covering the bikes, sadly. Hope this year is different in regards to that.

I used to be a very passionate watcher. couldn't get any work done. I still enjoy watching but lost some interest when Jonah Street retired.

I love the Dakar.

If I won the mega lotto I would totally be a privateer rider. One of the guys who's goal is just to survive and make it to the end. I could pay some of you guys to come along and be my crew.

I'd definitely take you up on that. That would be a dream job.

If you guys find a good stream for the coverage please post it here. The link I saved from last years (Uni-stream?) no longer works.

Make sure to follow this thread for streaming information at ADVRider.

MyWay usually has all the streaming channels and sets up the VLC play list file. Last I looked he just has EUROSPORT1 and some radio stations so far. But he usually gets 5 to 6 TV channels....If nothing else the EUROSPORT coverage is way better than NBC Sports 30 minute recap...Just baffles me that some USA channel doesnt give this more than 30 minutes...UGH
