If you're not wreckin', you're not tryin'!
Yeah, the practice area is open, and God willing, will stay open. Now is the time to train. Harescramble season starts soon!

Re: Homemade Video
Bargain Helmet Cam Instructions:
Get an old helmet ($60 from Coleman Powersport, circa 1987) and a cheap tripod ($20 from BestBuy).
Remove the visor from the helmet and the camera mount from the tripod.
Drill a 1/4" hole right-smack-dab in the middle of the forehead area. Don't wear helmet while drilling. Put a bolt, nut and washer through the hole.
Screw the camera mount from the tripod onto the bolt. Tighten firmly.
Attach a cheap camera with video capability ($80 from Walmart) to the mount. For extended recording time put a big SD card in the camera. An 8GB card costs $25 and stores over an hour of video.
The mount is very solid and doesn't lose adjustment during hard riding. The camera is so cheap and light, I don't even know it's there. Until people point and laugh.
The only trick to setting it up is getting the aim correct. I had to tip it back much more than I expected. Aimed a little bit low seemed to give a better feeling of speed to the video. Aimed a little high will probably be better for getting good shots of the riders in front. Aimed backwards will be good for getting shots of Ken.

Re: Homemade Video
That does it. You have to wear a shiny silver suit when you ride now. And you can only talk in your "robot" voice when wearing the helmet cam.
Were you using the new Kendas when you slid out?

haha...kind of reminds me of an old SNL skit where Al Franken wore a satellite dish on his head and played a roving news reporter.
The Kendas are still new, the slides were with worn Dunlops.
Did you get your bearings done?
