I run these on the Tuono. Wear a 'Stich Darien w/electric liner and pants to match. Have electric gloves but don't use 'em 'til it's really cold. Tuono's got about 98K miles on it and still starts right up. But when it's cold out don't tough the throttle or it floods easily.

I play racquetball on Wednesday so I used that as an excuse to bag the bike today. Dressing up for the artic expedition on the bike is kinda a pain and doing it 2 x-tra times to ride to the gym after work; well just call me lazy. Tomorrow though, I will be back on 2 wheels!!

I did notice that the bike is REALLY not happy starting when it gets this cold. I wish it was FI as I think the computer would do a better job of smothing it out more quickly. For the first 30 seconds or so it really protests and stumbles and knocks and bangs; I am surely not doing it any favors...

I will admit when I saw the blue C-14 on the cover of the latest Concourrier I did pop a stiffy; it’s a darn good looking bike. However, it is hard to justify dropping 6 to 7 large on a bike that is going to be a commuter rag as the reality is my interests have drifted away from pure street riding.

I don’t know if it is even possible to kill an old dinosaur like my C-10 but I am trying my best. It has 84K on the clock and climbing and except for a “little” oil consumption still runs pretty good (when it is not 14 degrees outside). If I could kill the Connie, I would probably just start riding the Tiger since it’s paid for and very hard to otherwise justify having for the very little I ride it.

Now if you wanted to do some type of lend-lease program, I am all ears!!

My son (17) rides bike as his main transportation. The only issue he has is his xr650L doesnt power his gerbing jacket and gloves. His VFR750 has no issue to date though.

I would give him his man card but being his father :dirtdog: and the fact he is only 17 :boohoo: (not yet a man in age) he doesnt get one :lol2:

Pete,

That ain't right; showin a pic of a guys bike laying on the ground when he wasn't even around to see it. That was the last time I let Wingfixer near any of my machinery... You need to come to CO with us if for nothing else but to save my Yamaha from a repeat of what he did to my Honda!!
