49.3 miles shorter, to be exact. Part 2 had some of the best roads in it, not that weren't all good, so I would recommend to everyone to hit that part as well.

Despite all the minor setbacks I did finish the ride, the whole thing. It is a GREAT route!! I don't want to give too much away but it is an awesome mix of twisty asphalt and fun dirt and gravel roads. They where even grooming the roads in Michaux which added to the thrill. The tube that let me down on the side of I-70 was indeed a patched tube, the good news is I had a spare.
