Re: The KAT -Part Deux discussion thread

I ordered the Tusk brand d606 look alike. I’m guessing the tkcs on the Husky are probably not the appropriate tire. I’ve got a few months to wear them down before I swap rubber. I think I will do the same thing. The TKC's aren't bad for things like Shenandoah 500 where you have alot of fire roads b...

Re: 2020 dual sport rides. Local.

So based on what all of ya'll are saying, the MABDR would be perfect on the Ducati 800 Desert Sled! I'm in. Sep looks to be a good time for temps and weather! I rode SS500 this year on the 800 and did the A section, it was a bit tough due to the tires, but the bike itself was awesome on the trail.

Re: MD fees (buying new bike out of state?)

Ok, put a deposit down and should be picking up the bike in Richmond this weekend:) The 2012 will be for sale soon. FWIW, Ellicott city did call me back yesterday and offered a much lower price that was at least competitive with the others. Still a little higher than others and I was a bit miffed t...

Re: 2020 dual sport rides. Local.

This would be KLR, WR250, TT230 etc. friendly ride, so you could really have a mix of dual sport riders and ability levels on this one. There is some fun stuff mixed in, but alot of back road all skill level stuff.

Re: 2020 dual sport rides. Local.

Jed Hargrave, Jeff Nelson, Chris B and myself all planned and documented a sweet 2 day Dual Sport ride back in 2012 we were thinking about doing as a sponsored event. It has some pavement in it, but all back roads. Day 1 Starts in Thurmont MD and goes up into PA through Michaux and Tuscarora Forest ...

Re: What did you work on today?

I drilled and tapped the caliper carrier to accept the second wheel sensor for the Voyager pro. I like to be able to run my stock ODO and the Voyager so I have both. The "Brembo" logo on the caliper carrier is in the perfect spot, just punched it right in the center of the logo, drilled a ...

Re: JD/TPS tuner for EFI bikes

Using a EFi tuner is not snake oil. He does re-brand them, for 40 bucks cheaper than JD Jetting does. As far as Slaven's tuner and the Vortex option, you are buying maps that are pre-set for 3 times the cost. I like jeff Slaven's, but his stuff is over priced at times. Atleast with a tuner you can t...

Re: MD fees (buying new bike out of state?)

The 6 days comes with some extra stuff, front axle pull, billet triple clamps, rear brake snake, 6D graphics (big whoop), solid rear disk and a few other things, mostly same parts with 6 Days logo on them (exhaust can, rims, handlebars). I wanted a regular one but he is out, so he had the 6Day and h...
