Re: Trials riding?

There are quite a few trails at the cove. Some narrow double track and I've heard tales of single track but haven't seen it yet. Some interesting hill climbs too. Mostly just plain vanilla mountain riding in my limited experience (handful of rides there).

Re: Trials riding?

I'm only about an hour from the cove too. I can sometimes take off on Fridays and I don't work weekends... ;) I need to figure out how to keep my hands warm in cold weather (bad circulation)... Maybe I'll try some of the new fangled battery powered gloves.

Can you imagine cleaning the mud from the upper end of the engine. :screwy:
With such big fenders I don't see how that would be a problem. Oh, wait... Where are the fenders?

Re: Shop in frederick??

Sounds like it could very well be hydrolocked. Meaning some gas got in there. So, yeah, take the spark plug out and if a bunch of gas comes out when you kick it that's probably your issue. I had that happen on an old concours (apparently not an uncommon problem on those bikes) although it's a bigger...

Re: 11/6 Midweek Dirt Ride

While passing through leesburg saturday I saw a Honda Element with the same kind of bike rack on the back that I use to carry my kx250 around on. There was no bike on it at the time but it looked very curious. Maybe they're just sticking something little like a ttr70 or similar on it... Tongue capac...

Re: 2011 Sherco 290 Trials Bike

All I can do is look right now. I do want to give trial a try but it'll have to wait until I've got the funds.

Re: 11/6 Midweek Dirt Ride

Looks like y'all had fun. I haven't been back on 495 since getting the dirt bike out of storage a couple years ago although I've been to taskers quite a few times. I wonder what it'd be like on the kx250. Maybe we'll hit it on the 24th. Seems like it's not very far from the parking area. I'll have t...

Re: 11/6 Midweek Dirt Ride

DAMN good time, I'm DAMN sore and didn't ride long... Time to get serious about getting some exercise. DAMN desk job... Thanks for letting me tag along guys. I've run an average of 2.6 miles per day for over 470 days straight now and it has made a difference in how I feel after a dirt ride. It'd be...
