ST is a challenge but very doable. Also, easy to bail, lots of friends to help. Hill climbs, not really. It's a good place to ride, plenty of options.

Michaux is a great start point, that area north of Fredrick also. Miles and miles of gravel and twisted back roads. Lots of nice camping. All with an hour of home-for most of us. Why drive 2-3 hours for a good DS event (on public roads anyway).
