Re: Show us your toy hauler!

I started racing Budds Creek in '74. This was the hot setup back then. Do you remember these? After my first "car", a 1966 CJ5, I picked up a 1977 Chevy van and have pretty much owned vans since. People ask What do you use your van for? Well... hauling dirtbikes, of course!

Re: Fixing XR650L

I gots questions... 1. J&J, sweet pics and thanks for these... By the way, congratulations on your teardown and rebuild. Nice job! For the Jet-Hot coating, did you opt for the basic 1300 degree standard coating, or did you up the ante with the extreme coating?? Are these OE headers? Aftermarket?...

Re: Show us your toy hauler!

OK if you must have details... That was not my toy hauler.... but it is somebodys! I am a van guy. I ran an old used E250 for 11 years. Last year, maintenance costs drove me to replace it. Question was... with what? How much would a Sprinter van hold? Answer? A small Japanese jeep! After much resear...

Re: New member in Bethesda MD

Thanks for the welcome guys. Looking forward to meeting up sometime soon. I shouldn't be surprised there are other dual sporters around. FYI I PMed Granville to say couldnt make this weekend but would like to make workday#2 if possible. Either of you planning to do that?

Re: New member in Bethesda MD

I know I moved in the wrong direction! Back when I was younger, I lived near the riding and commuted 200 miles/day to work. I wore out many cars and meself. Now I live near work and have a bit of commute to go riding. Clearly my priorities are flawed. :knary:

Thanks Laoch! I'll presume youre talking Mason Dixon border and not Canada. :-) I have ridden some trail in Canada, not bad... but the season without black flies is short! PA has some excellent real estate; I hailed out of Hanover from '02-'14.

Howdy DAMN Riders! I am excited about joining this group to get to know some local riders and do some DAMN dual sporting! So, I've done a fair amount of dual sporting in the past, but not exactly ahem entirely legally. You see I am (and have been for more decades than I will admit) a straight off-ro...
