Re: Help with new bike

Phoo, the ORV on the title would be the deal breaker for me. Still not a bad price for an off road only smoker. Not sure what MD requires but here in PA you could do the "special construction title", but the money spent to do that could be spent looking for a nicer bike with proper title. ...

Re: Help with new bike

Update from the seller: "It's a PA title from the previous owner and it is signed but not filled out. I never had it transferred in to my name." So, can someone tell me what I should look for on a PA title to ensure I can get this thing plated? Getting it plated is an absolute requirement...

Re: pitted fork tube

Put the fender brace back on before you get worried.
It plays a very important part of the suspension.

Re: Help with new bike

Lots of good info above, but to help you out we need a budget..... Your requirement of an e-start on a smoker just narrowed your search to a 2011 or newer Gas Gas and a KTM (250 - 300) I think 08 was when the e-start was offered. Finding either brand with the e-start option will be an interesting ch...

Oh DAMN you..........
That was my first real bike.
A 6 speed in a trials bike was some state of the art stuff back then.
As a vintage bike goes, it is a very competative bike.

Re: another Suzuki failed vacuum gas valve

All thanks to the power of the net.
Local dealers best get smart and start offering "service" again.
Bet I know where you will be ordering all your future Zuki stuff from.
Glad you found a reasonable fix.

Just dirt roads (if you plan on riding legal).

Well  :whip:
If we can get lodging / food / drink under one roof then location is not big deal.
If that is not an option then we should hang close to Ken's area so his wife can join us.

Re: Single Track Trails

I paid a godawful amount of money for the PMB quiet tip and Silent Sport exhaust packing and bought a YZ/WR 426 exhaust can because it's a little bigger than a 400 exhaust. It's quieter than it was with the aftermarket exhaust with blown out packing that came with it, but it's still fairly loud. I ...
