Re: MD Motorcycle Inspection Requirements

meh. There really is a requirement for an odometer. Given that "odometer inaccurate or inoperative" is a checkbox on the title application and there had never been an accident due to an odometer, this seems stupid. Patrick My MXC200 just has the little BD speedo/odo that rezeroes everytim...

Re: TW-200 for a XT350

It seems to me you have several potential cheap donor bikes to source a new engine for the teedub. I think that engine is common to TT's and a couple of quads. It even looks identical to the XT200 in my garage minus the electric start. Before I bought a $600 crank assembly I would keep an eye on CL ...

Re: What did you buy yourself for Christmas?

I sent my MXC 200 motor away for a complete tear down, head mod, porting and top end rebuild. I may also add a Rekluse as my stocking stuffer. It was a little on the wild side for a dual sport. So Bigbird hooked me up with a flywheel weight. Now (hopefully) Cycleplayground will hook me up with a lit...

Re: Shenandoah 500 DS 1/2 Oct 2011

Good thing I bailed out instead of riding that AA section with y'all the second time. Not that I could have by that point. But I just finished my post ride bike R&R and discovered that I came home on 2 sprocket bolts. So I would have ended up in the back of a truck with a ruined hub like Bucho i...

Re: Shenandoah 500 DS 1/2 Oct 2011

Hey Bucho, thanks for helpimg me out in the AA loop. I was too whipped on the climb out to keep picking up the beast by myself.

And thanks to Big Bird for ending up on the ground as many times as I did. At least we give the young guys to laugh about.

Re: Shenandoah 500 DS 1/2 Oct 2011

Uh oh, the Saturday forecast calls for showers, wind and a high of 49. I have seen that kind of Saturday forecast before. And both times it was actually a steady all day rain. Once was very warm but I face planted on asphalt in turn and hurt my knee. The other was so cold I bailed with hands too fro...

Re: Shenandoah 500 DS 1/2 Oct 2011

For anybody new to this looking for Friday night food but not wanting to cook, turn right on Main Street in Bridgewater and head up to the IGA super market. They serve hot food and have a cold deli. I can vouch for pretty much everything being excellent with a banana pudding that might be the best I...
