Re: newbie looking for easy trails

Dont think I'm being negative about your bike. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the big GS bikes. I used to have an 1150GS but sold it shortly after I got married (to help pay some bills), and have had cheaper bikes since. My wife and I rented a R1200GS a few years ago and rode it around Southern AZ...

Re: newbie looking for easy trails

What dirtbike do you have? Or do you mean that your GS is a dualsport/dirtbike? If you are referring to your GS then I would just start w/ dirtroads and go from there. I'm not familiar what is near you. But there are quite a few DAMN guys around the 695/Baltimore area, maybe they can chime in w/ som...

Re: Harassing the dog

If used correctly an Ecollar (shock collar) works very well if you don't think your dog is behaving properly.

Re: Hello

Welcome. There are a bunch of DAMN guys out in the Baltimore area, I don't think they have anywhere close to ride either. At least nothing legal. Get used to driving up into PA or way out to western MD.
Get your DRZ tagged and there will be some fun offroad dualsport rides in the coming year.

Re: Dang it!!!!!!!!!!!

I know for some of Jonah Streets Dakar training. He lays his bike on its side and picks it repeatedly.

After you get your big KTM back together it could be part of your workout routine.

Re: grip heaters on XR4?

Arent heated grips great? I think they should come stock on all bikes.

Ive never used them on a dirtbike, but I have a pair of hippo hands that pretty much live on my street bike from November till well into the spring. They are kinda weird but you get used to them.

Thanks for the videos crofrog! They were great.
I liked the Sunday rollercoaster section, that was my favorite part of the day. Though the last hero option was pretty good too.

Re: It's Hammer Time! (aka 2011 Hammer Run)

Day 2 was another fun day. Lot more higher speed double track. There were also some fire cut sections that could be run at a pretty fast pace. The best section might have been after the first gas stop. A short powerline section then a few miles that threaded through small hills with lots of twists a...
