Re: cold weather riding wear

I've got some of the cheap Hippo Hands knock offs. Got 'em at The Dirt Shop about 20 years ago. I haven't used them in years. Kind of sad to see the originals going away though. When I first read this thread I assumed it was about street riding. If this is about trail riding then I pretty much dress...

Re: cold weather riding wear

I get cold easy and it's getting worse as I get older. I will not be without an electric jacket again. Last year I replaced my old copper wired Gerbing jacket with a Warm N Safe one with the modern wiring. The new stuff is so much better. It heats up almost instantaneously. I just recently replaced ...

If you want to ride, we'll find a way to get you on a bike. The first hit is free... :lol2:
That would be awesome. Thanks!

Re: Trials Open House Nov 3rd

I can't get past the notion that there was a prius with a bike on a hitch rack... Did I read that right?

I'm not going to be able to get out to this one but, when they get started back up next year, I will definitely be out. Thanks for the offers of help/rides!

Re: Trials Open House Nov 3rd

Kirk, There's one last vintage event in Centerville, DE on 11/9. Modern bikes are welcome too, and generally there's about a 50/50 split. You can check out all of the bikes and see what you think. There are usually a few bikes for sale too. Bring your gear and we can arrange for you to take a spin ...

Re: Trials Open House Nov 3rd

I like the idea of taking something beat and turning it into something nice. I'll check out those classifieds for sure. I'm just getting back into the dirt after a 12-13 year hiatus. I picked up a ratted out 2000 kx250 and rebuilt it from the ground up into a practical trail bike. I really enjoyed w...

Re: Trials Open House Nov 3rd

I was at stoneleigh farm riding today so I missed the event. I am curious though how difficult/expensive it is to find a functional trials bike to get started on. It seems like this would be right up my alley (as I'm not big on the idea of crashing while going fast).
