Re: Finally got the EM out

We rode around in the lab, warehouse some and the halls. Mostly outside. We have a large paved area out back of the loading docks plus some grass past that. We tried to do most of the stupid stuff over in the grass. :lurker: The electric has been really fun. It's so much more 'accessible' than the g...

Re: Finally got the EM out

This is great to read! Got the kiddo out on the new-to-him Oset 20 yesterday. He's sitting on it w/ feet held off the ground for now but can now go down the street, turn around in the circle and go back up the street w/o touching for the most part. Huge progress. He wore me out jogging behind/beside...

Re: MAVT helmet rules

Good to hear. I understand trials helmets are.a lot lighter than MX ones. Looks like 700-900g is the norm for trials. IIRC my Fly F2 for MX is over twice that.

MAVT helmet rules

I'm reading the MAVT rules. Says trial helmets must be 'motorcycle'. I noticed some trials helmets have no certifications at all like the Airoh sold @ RYP. So.... Does anyone really check? I don't like open helmets (have had lots of expensive dental/jaw surgery done in the past.) Plus, I'm ugly and ...

Re: For Sale Beta Rev3 Trials Bike SOLD

We got to ride it this weekend at a friend's farm. We all had a blast. Sorry for the sketchy pic :lol2: but this is apparently the only one we took w/ all the bikes. Thats ADVRider ClutchDumpinDan next to Austin. Boom Boom's old '06 in the middle. Thanks a ton for all his help getting a newbie into ...

Little muddy.
A little muddy? :) I came by a little late w/ the kid. The paths down to spectate were soup. His patience wore thin in the rain and cold so we didn't stay long.

Re: Dual Sport Advice Needed

My coworker Greg and I rode both of my dual sports in the Shenandoah 500 last weekend. The KTM had no problem doing 60mph on the road stages w/ tractor 13/45 gearing (15/45 stock). Greg said my DRZ running nearly stock 15/45 was really winding it out up there and he didn't want to go faster. I haven...

Re: Well I did it

Thank you everyone for your input. I'm aware of OSET and Kuberg (thinking of getting one for the 8yr old - if I can talk mom into it.) Don't want to derail Ken's thread any farther than I have. I'm not at all plugged into the trials scene so still looking for info/clubs/locations to ride/etc. Might ...
