If they could keep the bike looking more like a MTB (like the Sur Ron/SEGWAY) and keep the cost to around 3K, I'd buy one to ride around my house on trails and such where a true motorcycle would be frowned on. Yeah I am not saying the Smart Carb or the Lectron is the end all answer, and I am purely talking about dirt bikes as opposed to true EPA approved, street legal bikes which I agree, EFI is the only path forward to be compliant. SWM's
Dropped into a nice Euro bike shop in San Diego this week and they had 2 SWM's in stock. Nice looking bikes. Fit and finish looked on par with KTM, Husky etc. Prices seem reasonable. They had a 500 Motard and a 650 "ADV" style bike. Pretty sweet all in all.

No doubt from a power perspective, the EFI 2T's are about as good as it gets from a fuel/air/oil ratio perspective, but not so much that I can tell a difference on my bike to make me want to have the additional complexity.
