Re: seventeens on the Husky!

Thanks for the help guys. I pulled apart the front end after work today and found that the lower steering bearings were completely thrashed. They were loose and rusty, no signs of grease anywhere. Being as I am to impatient to wait for parts, I just swapped the lower triple clamp, rod, and bearings ...

Re: seventeens on the Husky!

I finally took the 610 for a ride today with the new wheels. Wow, what a difference. Feels like a whole different bike. The only issue I had was the steering seems to be sticking. I noticed the problem prior to the wheel swap, so I know its unrelated. It seems that occasionally when I go to turn the...

seventeens on the Husky!

Finally got some 17" wheels. I was able to find a used set from an 02' which have cush drive hubs. Fitted them on the bike today and everything seems to fit perfect. The only thing I still have to do is figure out the gearing, and order a rear sprocket. I have a spare 15 front sprocket, I curre...

Re: Green Ridge report

Sounds good to me, I have a two bike trailer so its no problem. I work during the week, so weekends are best for me, but I might be able to call in sick.

Re: Green Ridge report

Sounds like you had an excellent time. I'm trying to get back out there again sometime soon, but with the gas prices it kills me to drive all the way out there by myself. Hoping to find another rider close to me to split gas costs with. Or if I can find a bike for my wife, I won't feel so bad spendi...

Thats one of my favorite shows. It's the only time I watch the BBC (unless Monty Python's Flying Circus is on)

I'll be there. Should be a good ride. I rode with 650L up there a few months ago and he knows the trails really well.

Local wheel builders?

Anyone know of any reputable wheel builders around here? I'm picking up a spare set of stock hubs for my bike and would like to get a set of 17's built up. I'd rather have a local / semi-local shop build them, rather than ship them out.

Supermoto sprockets

This question is for the people who have SM wheels and dirt wheels for the same bike. I'm wondering what sprocket sizes you are all running. I'm looking to build up a set of Sm wheels for the Husky, but I would hate to have to swap the chain along with the wheels. I currently run 13/50. And would li...
