Re: What did you work on today?
The alternator seized on my Kubota L2250 tractor. I've been expecting that since the charging system is kaput. No big deal since it is a diesel; just charge the battery frequently. I had a regulator waiting and a chinese alternator was only $70. Got a new belt from NAPA for $10 or so. The alternato...

Re: Joe's Beta thread
Well, that'll do it. This was all packed around the main jet. I had pulled the drain plug before and it was clear at that time. Theory now is all of this would settle out but once I started riding hard it would suck up and pck up the main jet, causing a lean condition and runaway. After shutting th...

Re: Cool stuff for trips
if it's 2 + ppl around, usually it's possible to push start. Starter pack is not really a necessary accessory for a group ride in my opinion.

Re: The KAT -Part Deux AND Hatfield McCoy Buffalo Mountain 7/18 to 7/26/2020
I think I can swing at least part of this trip. How would the 1090 fare on the DS portion? Review my video. I believe it's all a DS portion ;) Great Vid Janis! If I still have your DRZ in July, you gotta come back and join us. Hell, I will keep it just for that if you want. I remember som...

Re: Getting ready for dual sporting
MT21/D606 is a good combo for true dualsport. Thats what I like on my Suzuki. 16psi is on the higher side for me. For dualsport work with lots of pavement and just dirt roads, anywhere in the mid to high teens works (15-18). I know when we did the KAT, there was a decent amount of pavement but also...
Re: SWM's
It's a rental office. And by pics I mean these: ;)Firebolter wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:57 amThey are clean because they are at the motorcycle dealer waiting to be bought!
Re: SWM's
Try to research first. I've heard about one rental here in Riga that offers SWM enduros. They say that too often you have to push it out of the forest because they just die in the middle of a ride :lol2: Also the bikes are clean in the pics and that means that even the owners don't ride them :lol2: ...
