Re: Real GS Riders Live! The 1%

I rode my 1200GS off-road and in the woods when I had it.Can't have as much fun as you can on a 200 pound bike and it's a BITCH to pick up, but it's a great workout! The downside is the expense of replacing BMW parts that don't handle trees well...

Re: 1 cylinder won't run 2stroke twin

Spark seems visually the same for both cylinders. I do intend on swapping the coils and wires along with new plugs.haven't gotten around to that yet...I can get just at 100psi on each cylinder with the electric starter, but not the kicker. Just waiting on 1 more oversize piston from eBay(NOS parts f...

1 cylinder won't run 2stroke twin

Working on a 69 yamaha cs3 200cc 2 stroke twin. Similar to RD350, but piston port injection. Left cylinder runs ok. Can only get the right to run at around 3k rpm. If I open the throttle more or less no more combustion. Spark looks just like the other cylinder.both cylinders compression test about 9...

Re: Kawasaki KE 100 rebuild/restore

Forgot to mention. The magneto, coil and kill switch are the ONLY electronics on the bike(that are connected) The only juice runs from the magneto to the coil and kill switch. There's 2 other 6v outputs from the magneto, but they've been disconected and tapped off.

Re: Kawasaki KE 100 rebuild/restore

OK, 1st problem. I'm going thru ignition coils. Not sure what would cause that. I haven't been able to get the right spark plug so I've been using an old chain saw plug(yea, I made sure the electrode wasn't too long) ran just as good as the 1 that was in there. That might nit have been the right plu...

Re: Kawasaki KE 100 rebuild/restore

Cool bike/project, kinda reminds me of a DT100 I had when I was a kid. I think it topped out at about 35mph haha. Ok so the story of the lost/wrecked 1200GS sounds interesting? :amazon: took a ride the morning of my wedding. on the way back someone made a left in front of me and I went over the car...
