Re: Ride Sunday 10/22

I went to Mt. Ridge for the first time last weekend and it was definitely worth a 2 hour drive but I also camped the night. There are rocks on the single track but most of the trails have sections of them that are a nice challenge keeping you from riding over your head. A couple trails are 100% rock...

Re: Mountain Ridge ride - Oct 13 & 14

Good time at the Ridge! Thanks to everyone for showing me the trails. Sam took me through the ROCK GARDENS right out of the gate. Most I've sweated whilst riding solely in 1st gear. Bruce sacrificed himself leading us through the single track showing us all of the slimy leaf covered obstacles. Great...

I will bring some wood and beer incase I cant ride much.
I saw on the website that "alcohol is prohibited on the trails" (DUH) but it is unclear about the camping area. What's the real deal here? Am I to assume as long as we act like adults it isn't an issue?

Re: Mountain Ridge ride - Oct 13 & 14

I plan on being there for Fri / Sat. First timer, is the single track pretty challenging? Are there any hill climbs?

Re: Shinko 216MX - Goldentyre alternative

I just put a pair of SHINKO's on the fronts. They are MX 51's - Look a lot like the old Dunlop 752 design. We'll see how they hold up, supposed to be good in the mud and sand. Got'em on Ebay through SUMMIT RACING out of Canton/Akron area of Ohio. They were $52.00 each and no shipping (even if you ju...

Re: St John's 8/12

For out-of-staters like myself, what's the deal with the Maryland ORV sticker requirement? Would I have to have that as well?
