Well, Darryl, some time in the next 2 weeks we're supposed to go overnight to Knoebels Amusment park in PA, but if I'm around the house on the 26th, then I'm going to Tomahawk.

<rant> One thing that fascinates me about this site is how frequently the threads get OFF TOPIC. It is a never-ending source of frustration (for example) to review 14 pages of a thread to find the 2 pages that related to the original topic. <off rant>

Shade Mountain is the hardest of the Central PA mountain singletrack. I mean that. If you don't want it to be mostly punishing rocks, then I'd go to Sand Mountain, or the Seven Mountains areas and areas near the Poe Valley State Park instead.

Plateable? Leaves out all the Japanese bikes. If you're looking for a plateable bike, I'd look at the Beta 400RR super sweet and compared to my older '09 450 EXC, it's narrower, FI, lighter, with equally plush suspension and powerful enough. I've been riding my KTM 450 EXC mostly offroad for years, ...
