Re: mapping and navigation for dummies

Horizontal, 100%. Also, make sure you go into the settings and turn OFF "auto rotate" or it will spend your entire ride flipping horizontal-vertical-horizontal-vertical-horizontal-... as you lean the bike. Super annoying. :) I also find setting "auto-reroute" to "ask me" to be a good option. The rea...

Re: 2019 Alta Redshift EXR

These things are just at the start of their evolution. When you can ride <30 minutes from your house or have more options further out you might think differently. Admittedly these sorts of things may be for our grandchildren but, even so, making virtually no noise should be a boon for dirt riding. ...

Re: 2005 KTM 300 EXC *plated* two stroke

I am going to Colorado. The only motivator to sell is increased fuel efficiency and tbh I like the idea of oil injection. To highlight the reliability of this bike, I actually have, in the mail right now, a 1.6 gallon auxiliary tank I was going to mount on the rear fender for the one day in CO it wo...

2005 KTM 300 EXC *plated* two stroke

2005 KTM 300 EXC two stroke enduro bike, registered and plated in Maryland Mechanically great, but could use new plastics. Tons of upgrades, so I'm sure I'll miss stuff -- Recent top and bottom (seals, gaskets, etc) end rebuilds done by J&T Motorsports Forks and shock professionally set up for 200# ...

Wow, I wish I was in a position to get this right now. That seems like a good price.

Re: TapaTalk for Mobile Devices

Tapatalk has kind of sucked for a while now. They keep adding misfeatures to track users of the app which slows down the experience. I still use it, though thinking about it I wonder if the app sucking is why I haven't been visiting the site as much. I should go back to just using the browser instea...

Re: 2018 DAMN Reunion May 19/20

Had a fantastic time! Lots of good single track there, now, *and* we were able to find it! (To be fair, they knew where it was but last time I went, a few years ago, we had troubles.) Have some pictures! https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/33083970_10211912575626860_3611347496208433152_n.j...

Re: Joker's Western MD Camp and Ride 4/27-29

Woot woot!! Looks like Friday is booked solid for me, and Saturday might be a mess, but I'm hoping we can show up early Saturday if that thing on Saturday doesn't happen. Thanks for the offer!

I'm in on something. Either DRZ400SM with dirt wheels or I'll have that KLX250S on the road by then after letting it sit in my garage since buying it I think two years ago.

Re: February RAC

So is RAC going to be a big thing again this year? I'll get a permit if so. I think rather than buying a new bike, since once I got my jetting right my fuel consumption was less of an issue, I'm instead going to focus on having a proper solution for carrying some extra fuel on long days. And, uh, I ...
