Re: Mountain bike trails

It's my understanding that you can turn down/off the assist for the exercise and turn it back on for the steeper ascents. That sounds like magic to me. Bike dependent on how many levels of assist you get. Most have 3 levels of assist. Mine has user selectable 3, 5 or 9 levels. I have mine set on 5 ...

Re: Mountain bike trails

Now you got me thinking Steven, my Cannondale Jekyll that Wes is riding, is a 2003 model. At the time, it was a higher end model, Lefty front, higher end Fox float in the back, XT components but with the 3ring setup up front. And the frame still feels as good as any of the newer geometry's. Granted,...

Re: Mountain bike trails

That's kinda true for any suspension, they can be made better with better components. I use the rear/front lock outs when climbing and agree, I was kinda faster on my Trex Carbon HT than my full suspension Cannondale, but I am alot less tired and my ass isn't as sore after the same ride on the full ...

Re: Sur Ron Tuning. aka geek speak.

That's killer Wes! I have been working on my secret trails all week. Man, there is soooo much here where I live. The little LightBee is a fun little bike.

Re: Mountain bike trails

No problem Wes, now you know what kind of bike you may want if you decide to get a full suspension. Glad you got to go out with the family, it was a great few days this week in Nappytown. I will probably eventually upgrade the front end on the Jekyll. The Lefty works pretty good though-That is a goo...

Re: Mountain bike trails

Brunswick is a pretty hilly area. I just walked out there from the house and took the little trail between the 2 trail heads (at least it looks like there are just 2). Only about 2.2 miles round trip so I've got no excuse not to become familiar with these trails. The little trail I took is very twi...

Re: Mountain bike trails

There are signs and other obvious indicators of the little trail system in brunswick. I guess I haven't gone over that way in awhile. Bunches of cars with bike racks at the middle school too. Oh yeah, lots of downhill stuff too! https://more-mtb.org/products/rivers-edge-at-brunswick https://cdn.sho...

Re: DAMN ADV ride May 1-2

I won't be camping that weekend but I'd still be down to ride from Thurmont only if someone doesn't mind me tagging along. If not it's cool I don't want to step on any toes. Just show up at Sheetz around 8am, you'll see 5-10 or more guys. Introduce yourself and I am sure guys won't mind you groupin...
