Re: Moore's Ford Road

Yes, it was a great day, and the following day it rained in buckets so definitely picked the better part of the weekend. 260 miles for the day that included a detour to pick up a new battery (wasn't holding the charge and no kickstart on this model). Between my hands falling asleep from the buzzing ...

Moore's Ford Road

Not sure if this is considered part of the DAMN-area, but went through it last weekend so figured I'd share. Coordinates: N39 05.867 W78 21.285 Description: Along the TET (Trans Eastern Trail) near Strasburg, VA. Video below includes footage of the crossing, nice and wide, wasn't very deep (but I do...

Just got a new Husky

Just "downsized" from my XR650L to a plated 2005 Husqvarna TC 450. Great bike - I love it so far other than the auto-retracting kickstand...

Any one else with a Husky that has any good resources to share - favorite parts suppliers, Husky forums, etc.?

Re: 2005 Scorpa SY-250 Long Ride Trials bike

Where are you located? 301 phone number implies MD but these days you can't be sure... Maybe it was in the post and I missed it, went straight to the pictures and had to go back to find the price... :lol2:

Re: How do YOU price your bike?

Hijacking my own thread here, but having just filled up the car with (premium) gas, I believe I might be trying to sell the wrong vehicle. Wow! :screwy: Maybe I should be looking for a rain suit instead... So what I've learned is I may be in the right ball park for my bike, but have probably been at...

Re: How do YOU price your bike?

Also, if I notice a seller has stripped off all the cool parts and is selling them separately, I think the seller is a cheap bast@rd. :lol2: A bike is never a good investment, you always lose money. Think of the aftermarket goodies as rent you paid to enhance your enjoyment of the bike. A bike that...

Re: How do YOU price your bike?

Kyler - Removing the farkles is pretty simple (this is an XRL after all!), but some of the items are pretty big or heavy so selling them separately means they are probably going to be expensive to ship. I agree, anything cheap enough should just stay on, it may help the buyer decide, but isn't going...

How do YOU price your bike?

The bike is an '07 XR650L with a bunch of upgrades I put on to go on the Trans-AM Trail from Tennessee to Utah last summer - skid plate, bars/riders, hand guards, big tank, luggage rack, pannier supports, etc., etc. I looked at KBB.com and picked a mid-point between the 'retail' and 'trade in' price...

Re: Beaverdam Ford

Yep, same view. Maybe I should bring a compass next time...

Was there this weekend too, crossing the opposite direction to you guys - heading towards Philomont store around noon on Saturday. Helmet camera ran out of batteries before we crossed, so no more pictures to add...

Peach Orchard Ford

Coordinates: N38 54.717 W77 36.446 Description: Short easy ford. Coming south stay way over the left and you probably won't even get your boots wet. Going straight is probably up to 2 ft deep. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=N38+54.717+W77+36.446&sll=3...
