Re: Oct 14 MAVT event

DAMN how did I miss this? 10 minuets from home I would have had to have made it! Sorry I missed it The trail was as steep as your driveway but covered with lots of liquid traction and roots, perfect for drum brake bikes. We will be back next year and might even do 2 events in 2019. Some great high ...

Re: Oct 14 MAVT event

Little muddy. A little muddy? :) I came by a little late w/ the kid. The paths down to spectate were soup. His patience wore thin in the rain and cold so we didn't stay long. Don't think it is possible to have a trials event without rain and mud. Well not this year anyhow. Yes it was much easier to...

Amazing how those 40+ year old steam engines can manage to find traction running a silly gay trials tire.

Re: Oct 14 MAVT event

Thanks for sticking it out all day in the less than epic weather conditions. Only had time for one beer so was a busy day. 85 riders for a known hard loop and expected mud conditions was a great turn out....think we did have 14 DNF that the loop and sections got the better of. Only one blown motor i...

Re: Well I did it

If you plan to spend most of your time in your back yard then the E bike may be the ticket. If your goal to to better your dirt bike riding with adding trials training then you need a modern gas powered bike and go to where you have riders of the level you hope to become and ride what they do. Perh...

Re: Well I did it

http://midwestmototrials.com/ Here is one option with clutch and gears. Not going to be cheap. I expect the e-bikes will grow as a few of the world trials events now have added a "E" class. If you plan to spend most of your time in your back yard then the E bike may be the ticket. If your goal to to...

Re: Well I did it

if you go to ADV Rider in the trials forum you will find some posts about the other electric trials bikes. Yamaha has a full clutch with gears..if we get it to the US who knows. Dale, ex GasGas trials importer is also importing electric trials bikes and full clutch. The EM will perform just fine as...

Re: Well I did it

I'm also looking at a used 16 EM Sport. Hope its ok to post here. Found the DAMN board while searching for info and I'm local too (Silver Spring near Burtonsville). I'm torn between electric and gas. I want a trials bike to learn how to ride a dirt bike better and keep up w/ my buddies who've been ...
