Re: Dual Sport Advice Needed

I passed on the KTM RFS bike, and went to JT with my truck and tie-downs for the KTM 500. Test rode it and it just didn't do it for me. It vibrated through the pegs really badly above 45 or 50 mph or so. The suspension was also really stiff and had almost no sag when I sat on it. And the service re...

I'm a noob. Where is Granville? Don't know how far of a trip it is.
Its well worth the drive. Such an awesome place. I'm working that weekend. I honestly feel like a bit of a jerk not coming out to help. I've been there quite a few times over the years.

Re: 2006 Beta REV 3 $2950

I hate the guys trying to negotiate price before seeing it. I always tell them, and put in my ads, that I only negotiate face to face Yeah, but if a seller isn't willing to negotiate on something like this ahead of time it's not even worth the trip to see it face to face. Yeah, its a tricky game. M...

Re: Granville work days 3/1-3/2

I'm in. Likely will be there Fri night, like 8-9pm. I only have a machete here :lol2: so if anyone would take a spare chainsaw for me, would be great. How do we get around there? Do we take our bikes with us or something else? Not everyone needs a saw. Its often good to work in pairs. One guy cutti...

Re: Granville work days 3/1-3/2

An 044 is probably around 15 years old, the same saw today would be a 440 model. They were great saws. Assuming its still all OEM with good compression, that's a $400 saw you got there. My buddy has one and runs a 28" bar on it and the saw has plenty of power even with the big bar (although he does...

Weather was nice today for a change. Was able to get 35 miles or so on back roads, even some dirt/gravel that was very wet and muddy. Just glad it was short as I hit every puddle there I think. :roost:
Yeah, we need things to dry out. More rain/snow next week too

Re: Granville work days 3/1-3/2

I would love to help out; I have enjoyed my weekends at Granvilles too much not to! Besides, time with the Stihl is always good, just don't tell the Yamaha. How big of stuff are we talking; do I need to bring the 066 with the 30" bar or just the 038 and the 028 and the 210. Yes, I almost ...
