Re: Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route

after reading that thread I have to wonder if anyone there has ever ridden anything but well groomed gravel roads. :screwy: I went over and skimmed that whole thread on ADV. I watched the two little vids posted of the "hard" section in Bald Eagle State Forest. Is that the hardest, most technical pa...

Hey guys,

I just ordered my tires D606 from Revzilla. They're having a sale for presidents weekend and ships for free. I got the D606's for 35% off. :)
I've never actually had a D606 as a front tire, but its a solid tire for a BRP. Glad you are getting your bike well set up.

Re: DAMN Reunion

The only thing I'd like to see different this year is an actual DS ride :lol2: Hit some local back roads, make a run over to the Flight 93 Memorial. Any interest? Hmm... Interesting. Do we have any locals (or semi-locals?) who would volunteer to lead and/or make a little dirt/paved road route? A fe...

Re: Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route - Trip 2 May 4/5/6

They missed a lot of local roads, but they are not locals. They are generating a product for the masses. Use their route as a guide and adlib. Don't forget the trans PA route is also out there. My early inclination is to ride it south to north, taking our time and then hit stuff on the way back if ...

Re: Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route - Trip 1

what luggage you guys using? I do have a set of Stich tank panniers. Honestly not sure if I will use them... Since we are hotelling it, probably just my shoulder bag strapped to the back. A layer or two that can be put in morning, maybe taken off in afternoon. A spare pair of gloves, extra tshirt/u...

Transport four bikes? Lets do ...

Split cheap motel room. If you two really want to camp Ill go along...

Im not as worried about rain as much as some last vestige of winter snow and/or real cold weather.

Re: Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route - Trip 1

Jed, Patrick, will be awesome to have you both on the trip. We can be a small swift moving scout team. Like I said in my first post, we can keep an eye on the weather. I'm hoping it works out. But I'm also not afraid to bag the whole trip if the weather looks too crappy a few days before... It would...
