Re: Pulling battery on Freeride

I keep my bike on a battery tender. I'm too lazy to use the push button to remove the seat so I put a pig tail on so I don't have to. :lol2: I might not see my battery until it failed completely if it was in front of the mud flap like that. On the plus side that puts a bit of weight down low on the...

Re: KTMs? Meh... Suzuki makes the ultimate dirt bike!

I think that one may have been posted here years ago.

It is fun to be riding some older/crappy/heavypig dirtbike and easily pass some guy on the latest/greatest eurotrash bike.

Re: Ride Monday 10/9

I'm in for this ride :loveit: What's the easiest way to get the permit? On their page it is said to get it beforehand. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/gwj/passes-permits/?cid=fsbdev3_000477 Which one is the most convenient loc? Is this the parking lot we are looking for?: To Edinburg Gap Parking Lot...

Re: It's HAMMER TIME! Nov 4 & 5th

do you remember the year the lady from BMW wrestled a big GS1200 around the course? :knary: I do. She was like a Viking goddess. I remember passing her in a very whooped out section. She was slow but steadily working her way through. I remember thinking that I believe I "could" ride a R1200GS at th...

Re: Alta Adds Enduro Model to Its Electric Lineup

I hope the market for electric bikes continues to grow. In ten years or so we might have some awesome stuff.

I still think the electric trials bike could perfect for short weekly (or daily?) practice/play near the house.

The big KaTooM should be fine for the Hammer.

There are a few guys who ride KTM Adventures in the PineBarrens at shockingly fast speeds.

I plan on being there for Fri / Sat. First timer, is the single track pretty challenging? Are there any hill climbs?
I've ridden w/ UHC at Grandvilles in the past. He is a good rider he will be fine on any of the single track.

But "yes" some sections are challenging, but doable.
