Re: International Motorcycle Show in DC...

I couldn't even bring myself to take any pics...it was fairly 'enh'. Well, for a moment I thought about pulling the camera out for a snap of the Confederate, but in person it looked more like somebody's TIG-welding art project than a serious piece of design. Did try on the new Fulmer ADV helmet, whi...

This isn't your father's sidecar...

I'm not sure whether to laugh or to cry first. Have a look:

DAMN Pete, I think you've got more invested in optics and mounts alone than I have in all of my long guns

Now if only ammo were affordable and available again...

Re: Helmets

My thanks to Daves08excr for letting me try on his AFX. I have a Shoei-shaped head...that is until I tried on the AFX. DAMN near the perfect shape for my mostly spherical melon. In fact I was almost comfortable after wedging myself into his size L helmet, whereas I usually require at least an XL. I ...

Re: Neck Braces

Slacktrack, how was the dirt experience w/ the NX? Did they honestly take you for an easy newbie ride, or did Ken do to you what we did to him for his first offroad experience? Honestly, Dawn and Ken (big thanks to both of you!!) each led me on some relatively safe newbie rides at non-terrifying sp...

Re: Neck Braces

Also, I noticed that Twigg Cycles in Hagerstown has both the GP ($$$) and Adv (budget) versions of the Leatt brace in stock, although the Leatt Adv on display was the smaller size. Then again, I reckon Ken will probably spring for the KTM-branded Leatt GP at JT. So it will coordinate with his orange...

Incriminating evidence? Honest, Officer, nothing happened. We got our bikes dusty. DAMN-rides-sm.jpg And I guess there were some tired feet. DAMN-boots-sm.jpg Nope, none of us witnessed any drunk(?) night riding. DAMN-night.jpg Luxe camping with gourmet vittles, team wrenching (from tire changes to ...

Re: 3rd Annual DAMN Rider Event/Cookout/Renunion

DAMN it's gonna be warm...forcing this n00b to do a little shopping along the way for some hot weather gear. And here I thought we were going to be lucky if it warmed up into the mid 60s :harhar:

See you folks right after lunch!

Re: 3rd Annual DAMN Rider Event/Cookout/Renunion

It should be fine at GR - but I would replace the lower fender with a higher dirt one - and it will be fine... And therein lies a question. The factory low fender mounts to a stamped sheetmetal "bridge" across the forks, that a few folks say still manages to add a noticeable amount of sta...
