Re: Trials days

I myself qualify as vintage. But my bike does not. How serious are they about modern bikes? Also, anyone want to come off a vintage bike?

Re: FRO - talk to me

Thx SJ. I’m definitely not the navigator in the group :) but I believe I know where your talking about. The lot that’s covered in coal and has a few coal piles in it halfway down a hill. That’s a cool spot for sure. We talked about going this Friday but it’s not going to happen. Maybe in a few weeks...

Re: FRO - talk to me

I’m late to the party but Burma is my favorite place to ride. You can hit dark water and 910 tract from there. However there some rocky terrain to deal with on your way to the trails. Trevorton has the coal hills and some double track roads. It’s got hills from mild to wild if you’re into that. It’s...

Re: Sherco detune

Yeah the bars do feel really wide but I remember how awkward full size dirt bikes felt when I first started. Now they’re fine. So don’t worry I get the wide bars. I rode my buddies 2014 sherco st and him and I both agree my 16 factory has too much power. If I’m a mid pack C rider, he’s a back of the...

Re: Sherco detune

Mike, all good info! This is the '16 I bought from Adam ways back and just sold to Joe (RevMatch). It should have all the user adj knobs on the carb. It ran well when I sold it. Still runs great [emoji41]I did have to play with the air screw recently, the thumb knob was nice. Mike, thanks for the i...

Re: Sherco detune

The OSET 20 & 24 have 1.5kW IIRC? (continuous, probably about 2x that peak.) Thats 2hp. I'm GUESSING you may be using too much clutch and not the right body movement. You ride a trials bike w/ your body, not the clutch. Do the same things you do on the OSET. Use your legs for everything. You do...

Re: Sherco detune

I have an OSET 24 and I'm a lot better on it. It has significantly less power so you have to use a lot more body English [emoji2371]. I rode the MATV event this weekend and the difference between practicing in my yard vs that course was humbling. If I didn't have good clutch control I would have loo...
