Bald Eagle Sand Mountain Aug 16

I'm exploring Bald Eagle Sand Mountain Trail Head Friday 8/16 and welcome anyone who knows the area or is riding the area for the first time. I'm an intermediate rider on a XT250 who has ridden AOAA and Michaux--now venturing into Bald Eagle.

Re: Dirt/DualSport Aug 2

Bucho and Laoch made it easy to be the new guy and made it a lot of fun to follow their lead. I went into the day with three goals: to make a few friends, keep up, and not break anything--finished the day with all three accomplished. I loved riding single track on my Suzuki TS185 back in the early 8...

Re: Dirt/DualSport Aug 2

I'm in as one of the new guys to the group. I'll stand by for the starting place and time. Looking forward to making new friends and exploring some new riding areas. I've ridden the southern part of Michaux's forest roads a few times, AOAA's East Side once, and look forward to connecting with some r...

Re: Riding Michaux

The only day that works for me is the 19th. I'll monitor this thread to see how folks reply. My skills on my Tiger 800 will allow some DS singletrack, but nothing too technical. One day I'll add a more nimble DS bike to my garage... I try to stick to the ungated roads on the Southern end. Start at t...

Re: Riding Michaux

I ride Michaux's southern end whenever I can get a day to myself, riding from Bel Air, MD. If somebody's contacting riders in this thread for posted Michaux rides then add me to the contact list.

Fishing Creek Road Lancaster PA

Fishing Creek Road includes three shallow stream crossings, 6 to 12 inches depending upon rainfall. The road is a few miles long, so explore all along the creek. I enter at Furniss Rd and exit at Susquehannock. The dirt road along the creek is reason enough to make this trip, even without the stream...

Re: Riding Michaux

Denny knows his way around, Thursday evenings never worked for me. But sure, any route info you have is welcomed. I'm old skool, maps and memory and winging it. I think it's more fun that way. For Bald Eagle and Michaux, the Purple Lizards maps are weatherproof and have served me well: Here's the M...
