WTB: CRF110 or similar sized kid's bike

Have a friend looking to buy a CRF110 (or similar) auto-transmission bike for his 10yr old daughter. We got her out riding for the first time on my son's OSET 20 and she loved it. Anyone out there have one their kid has outgrown?

Re: Smart Carb versus Lectron

I took the Lectron off the '17 150 yesterday and installed the stock Mikuni w/ a JD kit. Rode it some today. I took the 500 out on the big loop @ Eagle Bay first as I didn't didn't trust the 150 yet to run well. Did some field riding on the 150 after and then rode it on the short loop. Still has a h...

Re: Smart Carb versus Lectron

Bike had 44hrs & 464mi on it when I bought it. Was Bucho's friend who never rode fast. No leaks I can find. I just replaced the stock reeds w/ Vforce4R on everyone's (online) recommendation. The stock reeds are known to have gaps and not seal. In real life that usually isn't a problem as the crankca...

Re: Smart Carb versus Lectron

I appreciate the feedback on both! Fuckin boat anchor. :censored: Disclaimer: I'm an engineer and analyze everything. The Lectron is a good carb fundamentally (I think.) Where I think they go wrong is the needle selection and advertising. It is NOT going to be an install and not-touch type thing for...

Re: FS: size 12.5 & 13 boots and Rev-It XL gloves

Updated OP w/ the name of the low-cut boots.
Here are pics of the gloves. The Fly Racing gloves are a little worn in the tips. They are 2X sized but fit more like a XL. $10/pr. The Rev-It H2O gloves are XL. (I have 2 pair of these but only took pics of one.) $20/pr

Re: Fantic History

unsure how to feel about this, but some pretty impressive riding to say the least In twisty flat stuff the SR will keep up. Its just a big mountain bike. On it, I weigh less than some (fat) downhill guys do on their big rigs. FWIW, a top of the line DH bike is north of 35#. Some are QUITE a bit mor...

Re: Fantic History

The Segway/Ninebot X160 for $3k has about half the battery, half the motor, small wheels, and a single crown mtb fork. The X260 is more like the present Sur-Ron LBX (with bluetooth comms added) and has a list price of $5k. Will have to see how much below MSRP they sell but IMO the Sur-Ron version lo...

Re: More options

I've looked into the Smart Carb a bit now that I'm playing with a Lectron. They both work on the flat tapered rod metering approach to do most of the heavy lifting. They differ in how the top end enrichment is done. The Lectron uses a 'Power Jet' that uses engine vacuum (derived from air flow across...

Re: More options

All good points. Reality is I sold my e-start only FI 4-stroke that performed great after a close call out west where me and bike about went scuba diving. Realty sunk in fast what I would need to do to flush and bring back to life when 30 miles from any 2 track road. It was replaced with a carb 2 s...

Re: More options

I can tell you from first hand watching a Vertigo be kicked over and over to start that a FI smoker has a long way to go to be anything reliable. So a FI KTM and a carb KTM running the same mix ratio will make that much diff? EFI on a kicker only bike is its own problem. Within the duration of one ...
