Locost 7.....1050lbs 150 horsepower Yamaha R1 engine, it was a hoot, unless you had to deal with the drone at 65mph for any long distance. All for a tenth the priced, 6500 and a lot of work.

For VHF marine handheld, if you like to tinker a Baofeng UV-5R is hard to beat. I use a 4 inch angle grinder to grind down the head of the pin and push it through with a drift.

If you would some assistance or just company at one of the D6 or MAVT let me know. I plan to attend most events within 2 hours. I plan to skip Rausch, but should be at the MAVT Candytown Event.

Candytown D6 Event is tomorrow. Candytown MAVT Event is the 25th.

Gate trials sounds like fun, never done one so I think tomorrow I'll be at Candytown. Run what I know.
