Re: Suspension advice - Shop for lowering?

I'm familiar with these guys: https://www.mrpmotorsports.com They have a great reputation for the track day guys for suspension set up. Give them a call to see if they can help you on your Husky. They're in Pasadena MD. But again, I think you can probably reduce your reach to the ground by nearly 2"...

Re: Suspension advice - Shop for lowering?

I second that about just saying no to lowering. I've got an inseam between 29-30" and can attest that you can actually get used to having to slip off the saddle to get a foot down. And you'll always enjoy the ground clearance if you ride any gnarly off-road. Try a lower seat or even customize the se...

Re: A DAMN long way from home

It's the first time I've been back out there since 2015 when we rode the TAT. I feel like I checked off my bucket list for the Rockies on this ride so I don't see going back soon. There's so many great places to ride and so little time....

Re: A DAMN long way from home

There was an odd thing about this ride. My friends and I rode the Trans America Trail in 2015 and it goes over Cinnamon Pass. I distinctly remember that we all thought it was the most challenging riding we'd ever done (on KLRs loaded for camping and a 3 week trip). I remember back then thinking oh c...

A DAMN long way from home

I've just returned from a weeklong romp up and down the Rockies in Colorado. We rode the Continental Divide Trail from south to north and then turned back south on the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route that was recently published by the folks at BDR and Butler Motorcycle Maps. My schedule was a l...

Re: 2015 Yamaha WR250R

If I hadn't already bought one this past winter, I'd be talking to you about your bike. That's a pretty reasonable price for a 2015 if it's all in great condition and I'm sure, at that price, you'll get it sold soon. I wish you'd been offering it this past winter when I was looking. I couldn't find ...

I really wanted one of these but was waiting hoping that they'd come out with a FI version of it.

Re: New Bike

Very nice bike and a serious adventure machine. These bikes will consume all your motorcycle money on protection parts, luggage racks and bags, and electrical farkles. Might as well get started with all the UPS deliveries so you can get it off in the woods.

Re: Bald Eagle Sand Mountain Aug 16

So far, my favorite place to ride. It's got something there for everyone from groomed forest roads to dual sport specific single and dual tracks, from rambling smooth trails to rock gardens, and some nice scenery and views. Easy in and out to the Seven Mountains Camp Ground as well. Wish I could mak...
