Re: Help me decide

OK, our plans are set. We're going to be arriving Sunday evening 6/2 and riding Bald Eagle on Monday and Tuesday. Myself (WR250R), Scott (WR250R), and David (KLR650). If anyone thinks they can get away let me know and we'll figure out where we can meet up. We're staying in one of the cabins at the ...

Re: Bald Eagle ride

If you ride into the northern most parts of Bald Eagle you will probably come across where the Dabbers event ran June 1 - 2. You picked a good location to hub rides from. Go on PaTRA site and print off the dual sport loop map also Shade loop map. Thanks for the info. I’ve been to Seven Mountains an...

Re: Help me decide

What kind of riding? You could spend a good 2-3 days riding the Bald Eagle area. DS ride the forest roads and the nice twisty back roads; they have a DS trail system and of course Shade Mtn if you are feeling adventurous. DS ride. We'll have a couple of WR250Rs, a KLR650 (not afraid of single track...

Bald Eagle ride

I'm organizing a ride for a couple of friends and I for the first week in June and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to travel the extra couple of hours up to Marienville PA or if we should grab a place at the Seven Mountains Campground and ride Bald Eagle. If you had a couple of days to spend r...

sweet! I wonder if they make orange plastic for it :killingme:
Probably. But then it would require more maintenance and be less reliable.

Re: Testing the tubliss install

It seems like I should be worried about heat building up in the tires on the road at inflations below, well, I'm not sure. Intuitively I'd say about 20 psi, maybe more if I'm loaded with panniers and camping gear. I'm going to start experimenting with different pressures on running around town to se...

Testing the tubliss install

I loaded the 250 up in the truck and went off down to the Wicomico Motorsports Park in southern Maryland to met up with a few friends that brought late model 250cc MX bikes. I rode the tracks there but that’s really not my jam so I talked the insanely loud two-stroke guys into doing some trail ride ...

Re: wow - electric trials bike video

While I can appreciate the skill of someone that can ride like that, I think I'm missing the attraction of slamming myself and my bike against big rocks, over and over again. But if I did, I'd think the instant torque of an electric would be the way of the future.
