That's too much decision making for me, I'm just the FNG after all :ride:

Re: D.A.M.N. Dirt/Gravel Roads Map Project

I wonder, if this is one of those post that should go private to members only. The reason I say, because down south a bunch of good riding was broadcasted over the net & became crowded or over used. Then of course, shut down. I know the roads wouldn't be shut down, but if local residences start...

Re: D.A.M.N. Dirt/Gravel Roads Map Project

You the man! Only had a sec to check your link (at work) but it looks like just what I was hoping for, ie displaying all the dirt/gravel at once. Would be cool to get to a point where whoever is interested could collaborate on it, adding roads they find, removing inaccurate entries, adding po...

Re: D.A.M.N. Dirt/Gravel Roads Map Project

I combined the 3 KML roads layers together and shared it on my google drive. You should be able to add it to your map with this link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7yz5QjrLzSwUmd6ZHR0dXNRcVk/edit If you have any trouble let me know. Also, if anyone has any other maps/data they want to combine sen...

Re: Any riders on the Eastern Shore

Hey trevorb, I've also been working on a similar project, cool to see you post this! I hadn't really figured it all out (and maybe never will haha) so I'd been sitting on it, but I think there may be some stuff you might like to look at along with the other guys, so I posted it over in Dirt Roads a...

Any riders on the Eastern Shore

I live in Salisbury. I make maps for a living and have been combing digital street files for all the unpaved roads in MD setting up some routes to explore. I'm starting on the Eastern Shore then plan to eventually locate all of them in Maryland and I'll put together a crude web map for all you guys ...

Re: New member from the Eastern Shore.

Welcome.I ride on the street also but riding off road is an adrenaline rush you just cant get on the street. You're right about that! I got into some serious mud and trails for the first time this weekend. I never knew single-track could be so much fun and dangerous haha. I'm sore as hell limping i...

Re: New member from the Eastern Shore.

Howdy new guy. Ha ha, its all very relative. Long ago before I got married and had a mortage I used to have a BMW R1150GS. When I sold that for a Suzuki DR650, the DR felt super light. I rode that bike for years, did single track and all kinds of stuff with it. The more single track I did I finally...

Re: New member from the Eastern Shore.

Welcome  I started back on dirt with the WRR two years ago. It's anemic and heavy, and as the trails I rode got harder my arms got longer wrestling it. I haven't been on single track with it since I bought a more dirt worthy (and much less street worthy) bike, but it's stayed in my stable b...

New member from the Eastern Shore.

Hey everyone, new member here. I've ridden four wheelers around my farm and street bikes for about 10 years, but the WR250R I just picked up is my first dual sport. I've always been into street n twistys, dragons tail trips all the time, etc. But after a few days on my WR I think I can definitely ge...
