Re: Three Springs Enduro - August 5th

One thing I like about rocks is that they bring the speeds down (the older I get the less I like going fast). Yeah, you can fall in rocks going slow but the armor has worked pretty well for me when I have fallen in them. I do understand what you're talking about. However, the jump is not so severe a...

Re: Three Springs Enduro - August 5th

The bits of trail that I rode when I belonged to R&T (who maintain the trails for this event) had no rocks. So, there's that if you don't like rocks.

Re: New Gear Reccomendations

You'll get different opinions, of course... I cannot wear separate elbow guards as they either make my hands go numb if tight enough to stay in place or they just don't stay in place. I have used both the EVS ballistic jacket and the troy lee mx body armor. The EVS one is more protective, with hard ...

Freaking comedians... :jack:

I don't think the tires I've got waiting on the shelf will be much better.

Re: Tasker's Saturday 6/30 at 10:30

I just cleaned the mud off the bike (used soap and everything) then took it out for a quick ride. On the way home I stopped for gas. I only used 0.9 gallons on this ride... Seems I could ride it a very, very long time off road without refilling.

Re: Tasker's Saturday 6/30 at 10:30

I don't think I would have wanted to do the RORR event this weekend with the heat. I lost about 9 lbs while running yesterday (and I drank about 60 ounces during the run)... The wr thought it was too hot too as the temperature light came on in one of the rockier sections and I had to head back to th...

Re: Tasker's Saturday 6/30 at 10:30

We had a good ride yesterday. It was kind of fun to take the wr250x out but, man, the little bits of mud were really hairy on sport touring tires. Even without the mud the bike was all over the place. Given my lack of sensitivity it feels just as fast as being on the beta. The beta is 95% put togeth...

I may bring my wr250x (with 17" wheels and street tires). The wr250x could provide some amusement... Possibly more amusing than the world cup.

if the bike came with turn signals they are required for inspection. Same for the chain guard.
Oh, yeah. I wouldn't go in for inspection without every detail taken care of myself. I'm not too argumentative either so Jim's approach wouldn't work for me.
